Sabugal

This square is located in the center of Sabugal city. A space used as a disorderly parking, with equipment located in places with little connection and without great care with accessibility. This project of requalification thus has as main objective to return this space to the use of people. As a second objective, it also aims to guarantee the ideal framework for the appearance of new investments, making sure that the space presented allows a varied range of possibilities. Third and not least, this requalification allows us to frame and value the existing medieval source. The space is divided in three fundamental areas: one more vocation for events, with a structure of metallic shading that creates a species of trees; an intermediate space for fountain and trees valorization with the creation of a recreation zone and a third area more for urban and some tree framing. A line of water unites and defines all this urban design, which seen from the sky represents the pentagonal tower of the castle, symbol of Sabugal.
